So in my infinite wisdom I neglected to negotiate an anchor roller to be put in to my boat and figured out that there is no way to secure an anchor in the anchor locker without an anchor roller being installed. Ive done an exhaustive search over the internet to try and see which anchor roller sea ray installs on their 260 Sundancers but can seem to find the right one. Also, looking to put in a windlass but first things firs, need to get an anchor roller installed. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Sometimes the anchor roller is made special for Sea Ray. I don't know if this is the case for your boat but often, in the past, the manufacturer has been Windline. You can definitely get the roller from your local dealer - but if you contact them they can likely find out the manufacturer for you, too. But again, it may be a special order piece which means you most likely will have to go through your dealer anyways. Although, it may still be worth a call to the manufacturer, just in case.

FYI... a windlass is going to be a costly install - it's especially costly after the boat is put together. It's not impossible - I did it in my '99 260DA, as have others in various other models (search for those threads) - but it's a good chunk of change, even more so if you pay someone to do it as there's a lot of hours wrapped up in doing it.

Discovered that sealux is the manufacturer of the anchor roller. Unfortunately for some reason that anchor roller is like $570 from sea ray. Maybe it's made out of gold or something. I don't know much about sealux but apparently they do not sell it everywhere so I'll be forced to seek an alternative.
