Anyone know a boat called the Phantom?

She is a 40' Sea Ray. Home port on Lake Michigan but don't recall the town.
Can't recall the owners names either but they are an older couple (like me) that we met every year in the North Channel. Really enjoyed them but one year they didn't come and of course haven't heard from them again. That was about 4 years ago.
We often anchored in the same place and exchanged fishing spots. And like us on their way back they spent a few days in Bear Drop Harbor. Sometimes met them in the same place at the start of the season.
Just would like to know what happened. I don't imagine the news can be good.

Wow. This boat was much newer than that. Not sure but likely 90's, maybe late 80's.
Lots of Phantoms.
He belonged to the Great Lakes Cruising Club. Maybe I can find someone who is a member and I can look up their member list.
In any event it is pretty obvious I am not going to see him again.
You meet boaters when you boat an area year after year. Not really close friends but you expect to see them again. Then one year they are not there. You always wonder what happened to them.
At my age it will happen to us pretty soon too.
Same thing with people with cottages on islands. You see them year after year then no one comes one year.
Kinda sad to see the place just sitting there year after year.
