Hi All. I am new to the board and have asked a couple of question earlier this week... And you guys are very helpful... SO...

My new boat, well new to me. Should be delivered in a few days. I went out to Tampa to see it for the first time yesterday. Great boat. I hired a captain out there to teach me the basics. Unfortunately that did not pan out.

I am looking for a well experienced boater, preferably a Sea Ray owner, that would be willing to spend a good day with me. I have the USCG-A safety class and I know some of the basics.

I need someone to go over alot of the motor with me, a quick overview of what to look for. Really I need someone to take me around that knows the local waters, help me with some basic navigation, docking, things like that.

I am a quick learner, but really need to do it with an experienced boater..

If interested - please let me know! Oh and I will have the boat at Julington Marina.

Thanks
David

David, we live in St. Augustine and travel the St. John's River all the time. I would be happy to help you out and give a few pointers. You can also ask others in your marina for assistance. I think you will find boaters mostly always willing to help. I may not be the best but I can assure you that safety is my primary concern and second is having a great time. Happy to show you what I know and you can figure out if it is right for you. Give me a call and we can work things out from there. Also please don't even mention anything about offering to pay for help, that's one way to get on my bad side lol.
