Anyone here familiar with this boat?

Other then what is listed in the ad, no, I am not familiar with that boat.

Thank you for some "love"!

I am interested in this model, having done my research. What I was hoping for, is that someone here actually knows this specific boat, and could fill in the good, bad, and ugly. I have called the number listed, indicated that I'm interested, and am awaiting a reply. So in the mean-time, was hoping to find out more (from someone other than the owner).
 
I may have seen this boat before, but not very closely. More like passing by on my boat. It looked decently clean from about 50' away!

ghuskin,don't know that boat but a buddy of mine that owns a marina up here in no. mich.(torch river) has an 80 with big blocks that he wants to off for less than 10grand. It needs some sweat and tears applied to it.Call him for details if interested.Tim @ 231-322-2842 I took the boat out last year,it seamed to run out just fine. good luck in your search.....
 
I owned a 1979 SR (26 WE) and was on this model (30 WE) many times in the 80s. SRs of that era were not particularly well built. Most of the interrior trim was held in place with staples and stuff came lose. The real eye opener was the stringer system. It was marine plywood and in some cases the tabs did not connect to the hull. I'm talking about brand new boats. The stringers were not glassed. They were painted. Build quality had improved quite a lot by 1986 when I bought my second new SR. Still, there were issues with the stringers and transoms. Fortunately I did not own either boat long enough to experience problems with them.
 
We've got a few Captains on Lake Erie that drive like the Captain in the You Tube clip!!!:smt043
