Anyone Flying a Burgee ?

There is no chance anyone in this thread is a lighter sleeper than I am. I can't hear my burgee move even in a gale. Hmmm....maybe I need to take some closer photos of how I attached it.

Tangent - I'm such a light sleeper that I have to tie my front cleats to the dock "over the top" because I will wake up if I hear the lines rubbing on the gunnel. True story.

Try wetting the lines at the cleat and rub rail for those stormy nights. The wet lines don’t make any noise.

Or spray them with a few squirts of boat soap before bed….

I’ll fly one if I ever receive one for becoming a Platinum sponsor. Honestly I gave up waiting for it.

I got mine right away. PM the admin on here and tell him. They are nicely made.

I have our marina burgee, but I took it off because it was getting ruined running leaving it on. I never thought to cover it. I like the idea of a small PVC tube with a cap. I may do that.

We fly an American Flag on the stern, and a burgee on the bow. Both are mounted on Mahogany poles with SS sockets.

Never owned a boat that wasn't fitted that way.
