Anyone ever heard of a SeaRay outboard???

Looking at an 88 SeaRay. Owner says it has a 135 SeaRay outboard on it......thinks it's was made by Merc??? The picture sent is a bit fuzzy, but sure enough it says SeaRay on the side of the cowling, but doesn't look like any outboard I've seen before.....maybe just the mostly white paint job that is throwing me?? Anyone have any insight into the motor? My biggest fear would be picking up a boat that has a "Force in disguise" on it! :smt100

They are Mercurys private labeled for Sea Ray.

My '88 has a white Alpha one. Re-badged for SeaRay.

Funny you should mention that...... I was over picking up my boat at the canvas shop and noticed this so I took a couple of pictures.

Looks like a Mariner Engine to me (I think they were pretty much the same as Mercury)

Your location is WA State.....Moses Lake area??? That has got to be the same boat that I've been looking at.
