Anyone else have caulking problems on thier sport boat?

I have a '06 195 sport. I don't know if all the '06 sport boats have this or not but....

On the gunwales, just outboard of the speakers, there is a molded fiberglass piece. It seems like it was an after thought by the manufacturer. All is seems to do is maintain the lines of the boat all the way back to the engine covers. I don't know how they are attached but mine was very poorly caulked.

Last year the OEM caulking split and I had water under these trim pieces so I had the dealer recaulk. It still lookes like S@%t and I'm not sure if the edges are sealed any better than they were before the recaulk. Anyone else have this issue? What did you do to fix it?

I know exactly what you are talking about. When I was looking at different boats last year I noticed that all the 195's had a not so good caulk job done on those pieces. Even one of the salesmen commented on it. I'm not really sure what the purpose of that piece is, and wonder if there was a change made on the 07 model.
