Just like the title says, has anyone come up with a way to create more counter space in the cockpit area. I put a cutting boat over my sink to sit plates, trays, etc... on but when 4 people sit down to eat theres barely enough room on the table for our plates let alone anything else.

There is a form of hardware that would allow you to mount an "extension shelf" below your dining table and flip it up and out for use. The hinges I saw were chromed and kept the extension shelf up tight against the underside of the table. When the shelf was rotated up to use, the hinges locked it in place so it wouldn't collapse. I have seen the hardware but don't know who makes it or anything.

You could also do a similar thing with a piano hinge along the end of the dining table. The extension shelf would tuck up under the dining table, flip up for use, and be held in place by a leg or (as they often do in restaurants) a board the is fastened under the table and slides out to support the extension.

I would check in your area for a specialty cabinet maker and see what they can advise or to see if they have the hardware.

Trade it in on a 410 ?

Get a post mount like for a Magma on the SP and put an extra table there...maybe? At least I am thing about it. BBQ when cooking and table when you need the space to prep.

My 340 has the same issue with space (counter space) down below. I've though about creating some sort of removable table to put at the end of the v-berth, since there are rarely people there sleeping while we are cooking / eating. You could get a bunch of space there relatively easily I think...
