Any Vanguard owners ??

In my quest for the next boat, I am considering the Vanguard along with the Weekender. The Vanguard was made from 1980-1983. It was basically a Weekender stretched out to 31', and it has an integrated fiberglass bow pulpit rather than the teak one common on Weekenders.

I am interested in any comments about this model, but especially known trouble spots,and performance issues [big block vs small block].

It would be used for fishing by me and cruising/overnighting by my wife.
