I decided to take my Wave Runner to Lake Wateree today. Real nice lake but I did not see a single cruiser. Just curious what the average depth is? Is it generally a shallow lake? Is this why I did not see any cruisers?

Also, I printed a map and could not find 2 of the marinas that were supposed to have gas. I am positive I was in the correct coves. Have some of the marinas shut down recently? I was on the North half of the lake. I did not go down as far as Beaver Creek. The only gas I was able to find was Dutchman's Creek Marina which was basically a gas dock off of a gas station at the road. I suspected E-10 Ethanol gas so I passed on it. The two I could not locate were Wateree Creek Sport Shop and Sutton's Landing. I went up in both coves and could see nothing.

Jason,
Next time you are done here let me know and I'll give you the tour. There is not any fuel on the north end accept the State Park which is around the corner from Dutchman and it is ethanol free 89 octane. THere is a lot more activity on the lower half of the lake. There are only about 4 cruisers that I know of on this lake. Mine, 2 270's and one other not sure the brand. Coves on the north end above the state park you have to be extremely careful but you can go all the way to the dam in Great Falls. THere is plenty of fuel on the south end, Beaver Creek has 3 locations, Cedar Creek at the air force base. are pretty much it. THere is only one true marina and that is in Beaver creek under the bridge. Not sure about facilities or power. YOur welcome to tie up to my dock!

Thanks!! I'll definitely give you a heads up when I am back down there. I already put the ski back on the hydroport at my marina but I will probably come down again before I put it up for the fall.
