Any Lake Lanier boaters on here?

Was $219,000 and is listed through Singleton. That’s a lot of boat for Lanier, and will most certainly continue to drop in price. The 40 range is a tough market.

Hmm, that would be a very nice boat (I am not shilling for it my wife and I are just looking at the cruisers). It looks like it has the original electronics and no hard top. What are people's opinion on the lack of DTS? Would it be worth to wait and let the newer boats age a little more?

DTS would not be a deal breaker, however, the value of the boat is only headed south. Cruisers in the 28 to 32 range are selling pretty well on Lanier if you believe the brokers. There are not a lot of these available for sale at the moment. Of course that will change in October - November.

I don’t see any indicators that boat values are going to stop their slide any time soon. So if you remove the economics and location, there’s nothing wrong with the price for the 40 assuming the mechanicals check out. It’s a beautiful thing.

Five to six years and low hours makes for a relative good deal on a used cruiser.

This is why I boat on the weekdays on Lanier - peace and quiet.

I'm on Lanier also, at Aqualand. Hopefully the lake will continue to rise with the rain and rumor has it they are "supposed" to be letting out less water at the damn........

What dock are you on at Aqualand? We're looking at Aqualand and Hideaway Bay for this year's slip rental. Holiday is closer but it's WAY more expensive.

I'm on the south end in the Lanier Harbor cove at a private dock. We should all get together for a few cocktails one afternoon.

I think we're going to end up at hideaway bay marina. Better rates, cheaper fuel and closer to home...only by 8 minutes but it adds up.

Was on the lake all day yesterday. Great weather, not much traffic other than the usual bass boaters. Lots of debris including some pretty sizable logs in the water, however, the new water level (1066) made passing through some areas much easier. This is the highest the lake has been in quite awhile. A welcome relief indeed!

I just hope the powers that be don’t decide to blow it out the dam between now and summer. But who knows....

We wanted to go out yesterday, had to catch up on some yardwork :smt089. I've been going to Lanier since the late 70's, I hope the lake level stays up for the summer. Lanier is a great lake, especially at or near full pool.
