I've purchased a 2008 195 Sport that I'll be keeping at Lake Anna Yacht Club. Most of the time it will just be me and the Admiral cruising around looking to enjoy the sun and water, with stops for eating and a cocktail. Also looking for great places to anchor/beach and just relax.

Thanks in advance for the ideas!

Go fast. Watch for submerged tree stumps.

That's all I got. Haven't been on that lake for a while.

Going fast and submerged stumps??????? That sounds like a bad combination!

I see you're in Beaufort. I love the Pungo River area. I've got a good friend that has a house a few hundred yards from Dowrey Creek Marina. It's the house with the 34' Whaler on the lift.

If you don't know the lake, make sure to have a GPS to find your way around all the coves, it can get confusing.

Watch out for the maniacs on the weekend, especially the jet skis.

If you like fishing, the stripers are biting. My friend sent me a picture of his catch from last week.

I own a slip at the Yacht Club and have boated at Lake Anna for years. It can get very busy during the weekends in the main channel which runs in front of the docks so be careful pulling out.

If you are looking for a cove for water sports try heading north past the State Park and turn right into the first cove after passing under the bridge. There is a rock wall my kids used to jump off of and it's a great place to get away from the crowds.

My slip is for sale so if you know someone feel free to PM me.
