Any cutting slip prices by Marinas yet?

Our Governor said yesterday that it is probably 4 weeks away. Some epidemiologists are saying longer. We will find out soon enough. My point was experts don't know for sure. I believe that is still the case.View attachment 81499

I place more credence on estimates from Spectrum Health experts who are anticipating peak bed demand in early May and the expectation of this lasting several weeks beyond early May. U of M experts saying the same thing. Agree with you that the Guv does not inspire much confidence.

She basically said it last night. She’s going to extend Michigan again just not sure when or for how long. She said our apex is 3-5 weeks away so you can see the writing on the wall. I also believe she showed her cards when she closed the schools. I can easily see a drip drip drip of extensions through summer.

New York experts believe they are maybe three weeks from the peak number of cases. That was reported last Tuesday and they expect to be inundated for weeks beyond the apex. We appear to be lagging NY in Michigan. Estimates that place the Michigan peak in 6 days are pretty optimistic. I'd be willing to bet they are missing the mark.

Thanks for the links to the data. You're right, data doesn't add up to the extension. I can (sort of) understand the closing of schools. If we are able to mitigate the spread now, why open a channel to start the spread again? Wife and both daughters are teachers. The elearning thing is going to be a challenge. Not to do it, but to try and get all their students to log in and participate.
At some point, these stay at home orders have to be relaxed. Our economy cannot continue like this...

The only people that should be strongly advised (ie; mandated) to stay isolated are the elderly and immune compromised. Everyone else should take reasonable precautions.

For example, what's the difference if walmart restricts the number of people in it's store and Macy's does the same thing. People wear masks. Etc.
