My 350MAG has the "Cool Fuel" unit and this will be my first experience with it. I know very little about this setup. Even though the fuel filter is no longer a canister but rather a cartridge, it looks like changing that will be no more difficult than the canister style. But just out of curiousity, does anyone have any good or bad things to report on this system? What are the tendencies to vapor lock with this unit?

On my 8.1S inboards the CF system sits on the opposite side of the engine from the filter. It's pretty much a "fire and forget" system. No maintenance needed. It houses the fuel pump and a raw water fuel cooler in a plastic box. That's all.
