any changed their floor lights

Man do i find value in these types of forums...what a great way to share knowledge...

I was wondering if any of you have changed the color of the bulbs in your floor lights (that light up the interior of the boat). The current white lights can be a little overwelming sometiimes and I thought matching them to the blue or red in the dash would be nice...

Red would probably work well. I've thought about changing mine.

I got amber LED festoon bulbs for the cockpit floor lighting in my boat. Works well and looks nice. There are a few threads here at CSR that go into sources for LED replacement bulbs.

What size were the festoon lights you bought??

Darned if I can remember the size. They were kinda big. I'll measure one when I'm on the boat this weekend. We'll maybe have frost Saturday am, but I've some work to do on her, so off I go.
