any 2018 290 SDX owners?

i have the 290 OB but for my question I don't think it matters if OB or stern drive, I think all 2018 290's have the new Simrad chartplotter/instrument interface.
My question is about the trim tab gauges in the Simrad instrument screen. On the left side are the gauges for the engine trim and on the right are the gauges for the trim tabs. My engine trim registers fine. I have no readings at all on the trim tab gauges. they just stay at the bottom of the gauge no matter what the trim is moved to.
My dealer said the trim tab gauges are not intended to be functional. I find that hard to believe. Does anyone have a 290 where the gauges display the trim tab and they work? id like to tell my dealer they are supposed to function and he needs to fix them.
One reason I am skeptical as I have several wiring issues.

In order for Trim Tab indicators to work on a NMEA system sensors must be installed in the actuators (rams). The first thing to do is determine in the sensors were ever installed. https://bennetttrimtabs.com/product/nmea-2000-indicator-kit/

I believe your dealer is correct - that was never an option through Sea Ray. 'Course, it doesn't mean you can't add it, if you wanted to.
