I realize my boat is a little older, but I am thinking that the construction may be similar to more recent boats.

I want to mount a flat panel tv in the salon as shown in the picture.
This particular boat ran a wire moulding up to the ceiling and over to the starboard closet for power, cable etc.

I have been told that there is a void between the plywood bulkhead and the shower module on the forward side.

Do you have any idea as to how much room there is?

I was thinking of taking the built-in vacuum motor out and drilling an inspection hole just to see how much room I would have.

I would like to snake the wires up to the backside of the tv and then into the closet.

Suggestions?

Thanks
Dan

Hi Daniel,
Can't say for sure since this boat is way out of my years. But any bulk head now is usually butted up completely to whatever needs to be installed, no wasted space when constructing the boats. You may be better off to drilling a hole to check yourself.
