Hi everyone... I'm Nate... Fairly new to boating. I decided last winter/early spring that I wanted to get a small runabout for weekend fun at the many lakes here in mid-Michigan. SO, I called up my buddy Greg who's family owns/runs Trition Industries (manufactures of Manitou Pontoons) and had him get me in touch with one of their better dealers. I told the salesman who called me what I was looking for and he told me he had a mint 89 Sea Ray 160 BR which would make a great starter boat and would fill all of my requirements. So after sending me digital pictures, deciding I like it and getting a price, I picked up my new (used) boat!
Ran it about 15 times last summer, and aside from needing the points replaced I've been very happy. But, I've got this problem... it's the inability to leave things they way they are. So I've got a large amount planned for my boat; put in a full stereo (with sub) last summer, and this year I'll be doing an interior update with new carpet, vinyl and seats.
Hope to make new friends and plenty of contacts!!
