I have a 1985 26 ft Sundancer and see a lot of boats that have anchor Bulpit made out of wood or fiberglass. Could you post pictures and maybe what kind of wood that are made from if you know?

There called Pulpits and im all new to this as well but most are made of wood and the wood is is usually teak wood. Why teak,im not sure. I think I read somewhere long ago because its solid, light, durable and weathers well, Could you use another wood, probably if sealed right but I dont know? But if your going to the trouble of making one I would track down some teak or find a old salvage boat and maybe remove it and refinish it?
Im sure someone with more knowledge will chime in,just my 2 cents :)
Here is a link I found that will help you,and has some pics...
