Just in case someone's got one laying around. I am in need of the anchor chain locker cover (still) for an 88 Weekender 300.

Here's a pic of one I made for my 1981 from Seaboard and teak trim. Turned out pretty cool.

Coral Reefer- What type of hinge is that ? It looks like a piano hinge with one side stretched and bent. Did you make it custom, have someone else make it, or did you buy it like that ? If so, where ?

What i think you are seeing that looks to be bent is a backing plate. I believe the hinge is actually mounted to the other side.

Nice job on that hatch lid.

Thanks all. Luckily the PO had saved the hinge but the old solid teak locker door was junk. I bought the materials at West Marine including the 1/4" teak trim and just cut to fit. The piano hinge mounts vertically to a 1/4" piece of teak that is mounted to the deck. I never got any good shots of it on the boat but it looked pretty much factory correct (with maybe the exception of the handle). Rather than cutting a channel on the under side to fit the frame, I just used some 1" foam hatch stripping and lined up with the frame. Never leaked and worked great!!! $50 bucks for the whole project and only took about an hour to create.
