In our 2000 260DA we have the round Cockpit table that when you sit at the aft settee area we're crowded around the small round table like Cub Scouts roasting marshmallows on a Den Mother's Marlboro.

I made this out of some Mahagony wood that my Grandfather had saved since the 40's. He told me years ago before he passed away that he used to go down to the ship yards and docks of his Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle and get the crating at a glass importer. Anyway after he died and my Gramma moved out of the house be built, I found this old, old wood maybe 400' in a huge overhead cabinet he built in his garage. I brought all of it home. This crating is made of rough cut mahagony. Nail holes and distressing, really turns beautiful when planed, sanded, stained and coated with clear.
Here's a Drawer and desk I made my Dad a few years ago using the same wood.

In all this stock I have, there is some white Mahagony, that would be tremendously expensive if I were to go and buy it.

So here are a couple pictures.

Next I'll finish sanding and a friend of mine with spray with a catalyzed clear finish.

Thanks guys. Somesailor may laser our boat's name into it. He does some pretty cool stuff with his laser, so I may take him up on that.

Garage, woodworking, northwest boating... will you adopt me?

Looks good Todd, Are you going to put a groove on the edge to keep things from sliding off?

maybe I should have said raised lip. so stuff doesn't slid off the table.

Todd - that looks fantastic and going to be even better when you complete it. What are the dimensions going to be?

The Dimensions are 19 3/4" x 34 1/2"

I don't think I'll put a raised lip on, because my kids don't spill things. Seriously I'm not a big fan of raised edges. To me it's kind of like the cupholder in front of the "L" port side lounger. Acts more like a drink's trip hazard. If it becomes an issue I'll make a stainless railing that surrounds it.

He Todd,

Looks nice!!

Is your table in your boat 100% horizontal? (skewed?)
In my 360DA, the table isn't horizontal.
If you have the same problem, how do you solve this?

Hope you understand me....:smt101

Peter,
It's adjustable to be fairly level(horizontal).
I haven't had too much issue with adjusting, it just making sure it's tight enough to not move.

On our 310, the previous owner put in a shim on the floor adapter, so the table is horizontal, now everything stays in place, but the people sitting at the back, are to low for comfort... we sit on cushions for now.

Hello Robert,

Yes, that's my problem also...
I did the same, and put some rings on the floor adapter.
I don't like it and still thinking about another solution.

P.s. check your sig. you wrote Sundacer  or is it a new type

Doesn't your table have a compression mount that rotates for adjustment, allowing you to level it? Or is the base and leg rigid?

Todd, I would like to hear your step by step on finishing the table when you do finish it (stains, urethanes, sanding, polishing ect...)

I'm going to have Mike aka "SomeSailor" use his Laser to Etch the "Nehalennia" logo into it. Similar to this

He said he needs some stain and a light coat of clear on there to do it nicely.
Then once that is done I'll give it to a friend of mine who's a professional painter. He helped me with my front door, spraying a catalyzed clear coat on.

Hoping to get it prepped and to Mike this weekend
