So I have a few scratches on my rear step on our 320. I thought I could touch it up with gel coat but it looks like crap. I made a template and machined a few out of 1/4” aluminum.
My plan is to get them chrome plated but would like input before I attach. I was originally concerned that they would get extremely hot in the summer but then again, we are in Lake Superior and it is never that hot any way. I am thinking it would trick out the back of the boat a bit. Thoughts? Kinda matches the aluminum swim platform insert I just finished.

Those look nice.

I would bright dip and clear anodize rather than chrome plate. Just my opinion, but the decorative chrome is a coating that can peel and chip. Bright dip/clear anodize is a much better surface treatment for aluminum.

Very impressive. Looking forward to seeing a photo of these when they are installed.
