I am the new owner of a 2008 175 Sport. It has 39 hours on it and came with a wake tower, bimini top as well as anchors, safety gear and a VHF radio. We plan to use it mainly in Kaneohe Bay on Oahu to swim, fish and ski. We have it stored at the marina on the Marine Corp Base there. The seller had a 50 hour service done as part of the sale so she is ready to go this weekend.

Sounds great!

Wow, good find. Welcome aboard. Need to see pics of ya'll enjoying it too. Will you get much use out of it at this time of year?

Mahalo to all for for the welcome! Watersports are year-round in Hawaii so yes, we will be getting plenty of use, weather permitting.

yeah that's what I miss about being stationed in Hawaii, year round warm weather... The coldest weather I recall was 50's in the mornings during the winter. I wasn't into boating when I was stationed there, but from what I remember there is a lot of people that hang out near the sandbar in Kaneohe Bay. I the lower level of a water front house on the bay when I was living there. Have fun on the water and be safe. post some pictures!

The marine corps base offers boating lessons there for free (or very little cost) if I remember correctly, if you don't already have a license and are new to boating that might be a good thing to look into. This is of course assuming that you are eligible which I am assuming you are since you keep your boat there.
