I am considering a 2012 350 Sundancer that is still in shrink wrap. The broker has informed me all the cabin carpet has been taken out because the black backing had peeled off. Is this normal for a 2012 Sundancer? Is there some problem I should be aware off. I do plan on getting a survey first. Thanks.

Cabin or cockpit carpet?

The cockpit carpet is known to leave its black backing on the anti-skid surface.

It is common for factory cockpit carpeting.

There is a better solution than factory carpeting (Corinthian Marine Carpets, an advertiser here and they usually give discounts to CSR members), but if you are contemplating making an offer on the boat, make your offer with the cost of factory carpeting in mind since factory will be higher than Corinthian...or anyone else for that matter. Then you can replace it when you own the boat.
