Twin Yanmar 315 with Bravo III
We have a 2007 310 Sundancer under contract. Just received Survey and Mechanical Inspection report with Oil Samples. Everything looks good, minor issues, but typical for a 15 year old boat.
This boat has original Yanmar Diesels with Bravo III drives. I have scoured this site, but haven't come across anything comparable. It's pretty unusual for a 31' boat. Has anyone seen this combination? We plan to close next week.

Never have I seen that setup. Are you overseas? One member here, maybe a dancer, had yanmars in his old Trojan I think.

I seen one for sale on one of the broker sites with the Yanmar's. Having worked with excavation equipment with the Yanmar, I would love those little engines. Those or the little Cummins diesels would be a nice setup.

Wow never seen that setup before! Even on the SR site they only list Volvo D4 and D6 as the a available diesel options

The boat has always been a US boat in the Florida Gulf area. I was told the SR site lists Yanmar's for an option in 2008. So I'm assuming that this is a late production 2007, with 2008 engines. Everyone that I have talked to says these are extremely reliable engines. The boat ran 39 knots WOT (45 mph) during sea trial. That is really moving for a heavy boat! This is my first Sea Ray. but I have been a boat owner in the Tampa Bay area for 50+ years. Looking forward to enjoying
the 310 for many years to come.

Good call on 2008

Check the last 4 of the HIN it will tell you month and year of production and model year. SER.....J708 would be a 2008 model made in October 2007.

Hull ID is D707. So this would be Manufactured in April 2007, and is Model year 2007?
Also has a number under the Hull ID, "310DA1432"
The interesting part is Yanmar has verified by engine number that they are 2008 production.

I personally would not get fixated on the hull year and engine year, they may not match from my experience. I bought a 2001 Regal once that had1999 engines in it. I was informed then they install what they have in the warehouse.
