Just got word from MM (Richard Hunter). Lake Allatoona won't be an official Aquapalooza site, but MM Cummings is sponsoring it anyway. Anyone interested will register on the Lanier site (so that there are t-shirts for everyone) and MM will have Richard (and heaven knows who else) on site at Allatoona to coordinate. For now, if you are interested, I'll be the volunteer contact point, but save this thread if you are interested because I guarantee that someone with more talent and organizational ability will take over.

I am thinking Five Fingers, a Solaire v. Magma contest, a "perfect boat drink" competition, and a fair amount of lounging around.

Current scheduling looks like the national event is the 10th, but MM has its Lanier event on the 16th. I am thinking we would have a "tune up" on the 10th at Allatoona and the main event (with T-shirts and factory sponsorship) on the 16th.

What say you?

You said 10th prelim and the 16th for the palooza. What month? and what is the web site to register?
It's my first full season on Allatoona.

I absolutely apologize! July 10 is Aquapalooza for SeaRay in general. The website to sign up is

http://www.aquapalooza.com/

Go to "Find an Event Near You", then click on Georgia, then Marine Max Buford to sign up. Just sign up now for Lanier, and we are going to figure out how to separate them later. Look forward to meeting you!

If any of you come to Lanier, definately look us up. July may very well be our last month on Lanier anyway!

Thanks for the link, I'm registered. I look forward to meeting you all.

Uhhh...Scottzzzy, you can't lay something like that out without amplification. Are you being transferred to Hawaii? Coming back home to God's country? Were you thrown off Lanier for lewd and lascivious conduct? Donning saffron robes and panhandling airports? Cause an oil spill? Come on, man...details!

Details, Details :lol::smt043:lol:

I think his free rent may be up and want to get home to Allatoona.

Re: Allatoona Palooza-updated

Looks like the date for Allatoona is going to be July 24. I think that the quality of Allatoona boaters is such that a couple of weeks of practice may be in order prior to that, and I suspect that the unofficial track testing will start the 11th and 17th.

Here is the latest from MM Cumming...contact is Richard Hunter (richard.hunter@marinemax.com). One important take away from this is that without registration...no T-shirt.

Charles, if we can put off to the following week it would be much better. We will have a list of all registrants for the Lanier event. This is what we will use to issue the T-shirts. If no pre-registration, no t-shirt. I would like a list of those from Allatoona as they do sign-up. You may include my contact information on any flyers you do. We will also do an email blast to all boat owners in the Allatoona area. If you coordinate the flyer with Carrie, we can include your contact as well as ours for this. In fact, you can probably use the same flyer to post/handout.

Richard

I WISH it was free! July is the last of that quarter and I am working on the wife to move us back to Allatoona.:thumbsup:

Charles, just seen the Thread. Thanks, we are registered. Carter, just got the Solaire today so by then we will be ready for a great cook off. What are we going to cook? Can't wait to fire this baby up.

Can't wait to see it Jim!

JediJD - We will be "boatless" at the CSR AC party on the 23/24th, so we won't make the Allatoona raft up then...

Count us in - registered earlier this afternoon.

Black Pearl - assume you will bring your protractor and any other necessary instruments to insure that all antennas are set to the proper angle?

Yes sir, just like last year! We'll have to take a few more pictures for Gary. You know he loves them.

Jay, you already won the lottery and were awarded being you (or thats what Sharian says)...not sure what other medals they are giving out.

Confirmed with Richard Hunter at MM. They are a go. The 24th, Five Fingers. Movie night, lounging...stuff. Jay Hamlin will probably end up coordinating everything but until he volunteers, here is the gig...if you want a TShirt, register for the Lanier event with MM Bald Ridge or Cumming. That gives everyone an idea of who will be there. I'll arrive a little early and get it started (and plan to stay on the hook, but who knows).

Count us in, Pat gets back in town on Friday night so we will be out Saturday.
