Spent the last 3 days polishing, waxing, applying fresh bottom paint, changing zincs, and various other little things I can't do while in the water. I'm pretty happy with the results, but my shoulders and back don't agree.

Looking good. Wish I was that far along. I'm still under shrink and waiting on the weather.

Look great! I just went through the same and my body knows the feeling as well. On one hand it's a great workout, on the other, it feels like you just fell down a few flights of stairs! Those buffer muscles get pretty sore!

Not that I want their help with this part of boat ownership but it’s amazing to me how family and friends disappear when it comes to this part of boating.

Thanks guys. I’m definitely feeling it today. Felt ok this morning but hit a wall around lunch time. But then I went and looked at the pictures again and felt better.

MProd, now you can hike yourself down towards the SE Corner of WA and give me a hand with getting mine ready for summer!

She looks really good. Nicely done!

Looks great - wish we had some better weather here in NY. Finally removed the wrap this weekend but woke up to anther 6 inches of snow this morning on Long Island. Fortunately most of it melted already. Guess were going in a little later this year.

Pfft! Where were you the last 3 days?

Southeast corner of WA? So are you on the Hood River then, and can you take that all the way out?
Thanks Kevin ..I got it done just in time for a week of rain and (for this time of year) freezing temps for the foreseeable future.

Close. We are on the Columbia River and (right where the Snake River joins it) 325 miles downstream is the Pacific, then it's just a hop, skip and a jump up to your neighborhood! That's just about the same distance as from the mouth of the Columbia up to Vancouver, BC.

Great job! Just unwrapped late yesterday and swung by on my way home today to swap out 3 batteries.
At least I feel like I got started.
Still have a way to go though and not much time in the next week.
I wanted to be in by 4/16 but the lousy March weather screwed that up.

Thanks. Of course it has literally dumped rain every day since. Now how about posting some more pics of that shiny new 450 of yours? :)

    Looks awsome!!

I'm doing the same thing on a new to me boat and I feel like I've gone 15 rounds with Mike Tyson everytime I do something, so I feel your pain (and pride)!

I polished mine with a rotary below the rubrails in late November before it got wrapped. I gave it two coats of wax back then. Now I just have to do another wax job by hand below the rubrails and I’m ready to go.
Bottom is painted and new zincs are on.
Painted the bottom in very cold and windy conditions Sunday with 3 layers of clothes on.
    Weather has been crazy.
Now all I need is a little bit of warm (high 50’s at least) weather to wax in so I don’t freeze to death.
Feels like early March around here with low temps and high winds.
I can do above the rubrails in the water at my dock.

    Looks awesome Mike!!

I feel bad for all the boaters living in colder, and freezing climates. This weekend will be my third cruise out with our yacht club. Boating in NorCal is just about all year long.

B5542963-3A0E-4A8E-8E7A-54E8A56C8EEE.jpeg Got one coat of wax on below the rubrails yesterday and was hoping to do another today but it’s raining again and the temps are only forecast to be in the 40’s.
    Very frustrating!

Wow ...beautiful! There's just something so satisfying about a freshly waxed hull. The look, the feel ...I could stare at it for hours. Is that weird? o_O
