The original owner of my 320 had an alarm system installed on the vessel. I'm not sure of the brand name but it sure works well. It came with two remotes and there's a hidden keypad in case you forget the remote. It has hidden sensors that activate the alarm when movement is detected within the cockpit area or within the cabin. The alarm can also be set to shut off the cabin sensors so only the cockpit area is armed while you may be sleeping down below.

This is not an option I would have installed but since it came with the boat, I'll take it. Do any of you have an alarm system on your boat?

Sounds like a good idea. Just seems like the motion sensors would pick up too many things. Bugs or a bird in the cockpit (happen to us once) setting it off would get annoying. Hey if it works use it!

I've had the boat for about a month with no false alarms. Just in case, I gave the alarm code to my neighbors and the marina owner. I never had a bird in the enclosed cockpit area. Maybe a couple of bees have passed through or ended up fried on the dash. I really don't know how sensitive the motion detectors are. They may be set for large things like a person.

Yes the bird was interesting to say the least. Feathers and crap all over the dash! Insisted on walking/flapping in it too.
Good idea giving the code to neighbors just in case.
