Just a curious question.

When im going 65 odd MPH on my 195 sport and I trim it and the speed goes a bit faster so then I trim it again and obviously it is trimmed too high, but for that split second the alarm will sound. I will then tilt down and the alarm stops.

Im wondering what that alarm is. Surely it cant mean you are trimmed too high, but probably saying it is not getting water??

Would that be the reason or would the alarm sound because the prop is skipping, cavitating or too close to the water level? IM guessing its the water pump alarm but id love to actually know.

That little difference of trim may impact RPMs -- and the alarm might be the overreving alert. (I speak from experience; I can get my SmartCraft to yell at me for too many RPMs every once in a while.)

Agreed, that is an engine over speed alarm. Its warning you that you have or are hitting the rev limiter.
