Mine has an air leak, and if I leave the breaker on, the compressor will cycle every few minutes. Owner's manual says the compressor is under the forward berth, but it sure sounds like it's under the aft deck somewhere. Trouble is, I can't find it. Can anyone tell me where the compressor is, and maybe how the air line is routed?

Not sure about yours but mine is located under the brow, just inboard of where the horn itself is located.

On my ‘07 it is located on the inside edge of the swim platform on the aft starboard side of the bilge. I have the same issue and have not figured out how to access it unless the starboard black exhaust tube is removed. I would be interested in what you find. Make sure the breaker is on, have a seat in the bilge, and you will find it when it cycles on.

Have the same issue. Air compressor has been cycling more frequently this year. Now runs continuous so switched off the breaker. Need to crawl behind the genset. Found a thicker old yoga mat to save my skin this weekend. Hoping the compressor hose fitting has just vibrated loose. Be sure to have a backup handheld horn if you decide to go cruising instead.

Please post what you find.

Ours does the same, I put a Toggle switch next to the breaker and I turn it off unless I'm running down the lake. Would wake us up in the night when it cycled. Mine is in the bilge above the starboard waste tank. One time I pulled up to my buddy's houseboat in the marina at 8 in the morning, Tooted the horn at him and the horn would not shut off. Jumped in the engine compartment and pulled the wires apart, Thats when I put the switch on. Pretty embarrassing moment, Waiting for the air to bleed down.

This cracked me up!

Is there are breaker under the helm or are you referring to the breaker in the bilge?

Neat idea 'cause getting to it will come one day when I need to remove the starboard exhaust pipe!

Mine on the 450 is in the flip down panel by the helm chair, starboard side. There was a blank hole, Put the switch in there and come off the breaker to it then down to the horn.

Last weekend I laid an old thick yoga mat across the rudders behind the genset and crawled back to the air pump and tank at the aft starboard quarter. Pumped some air into the accumulator tank and I can feel it escaping from the tank connectors. Took 12 years for the plastic collars to fail. Thought I could use air brake connectors from NAPA but can't find the correct size for the plastic air hoses.

Here is the link to Kahlenberg's system diagram.

I called them and try to order parts 10, 11 and maybe 5 just in case, see diagram. Turns out they sell a $27 connector replacement kit that should take care of my air tank leaks. Must be a common issue. Their support team is great.
