Air Conditioner Freezing Up

Tex If you read it and I'm not confrontational I did say that it would not cause more damage unless unchecked I wasn't calling anyone out If that's how it came across I do apologize After reviewing what I did type it could of defiantly come across that way

Is that when two Sumo wrestlers, just wearing a thong, get all lathered up with olive oil and climb into a kid's plastic wading pool??

LOL LOL

Obviously you guys have never been to formal military dinners when after copious quantities of tasty "adult" refreshments...dinner rolls start flying around......hence a bun fight. :)

"my compressor is really loud"

If the noise is internal you may not be able to do anything with it. Here we go again but.....you see any freezing going on anywhere? like maybe one of the lines at the compressor? that would indicate slugging liquid...something you'd want corrected pretty quick.

But vibration is a distinct possibility. I don't know how your unit is built.....take a look at the compressor mounts. If they have little rubber cushions and are bolted down at each corner you may try playing with those hold down bolts. You may be able to quiet it down a bit if there's excessive vibration there.

Good luck.

Thanks for the explanation. I generally eat my food, not play with it...but, to each his own. If you want to get drunk and throw a dinner roll or 15 at the closest HVAC guy, help yourself.

Please pass the butter before you start...

Seeing that you are on the St Lawrence leads me to believe you are speaking of Her Majesty's military.
That could get downright ugly if the Mounties are throwing "biskits" :smt043

LOL.....I didn't realize before this thread there were so many HVAC guys around here.

AaaHaa So you're the guy with them *6!^*?% thru the hull exhusts on his compressor! :smt043
It might be vibration. See if by gently pushing on differet parts of the unit stops it. It may only require slipping cardboard between somewhere on the unit. Be careful, the discharge line from compressor is hot enough to blister a finger.

That's me, I added the SS One Piece Custom exhaust to the compressor. I'm making up for my shortcomings :)

It will quiet down when I touch/push on the compressor. It is bolted down and has rubber mounts so I'll try playing with them first. Like I said I can hang meat down there but the vibration/noise isn't the best while trying to sleep. Thanks!

I'm not getting water flow, but my filter is clean. Is there a way to flush the system? No water is coming out of the side of the boat. Thanks in advance!
