Went to Stillpond (the fun part on the outside, not Stillpond Creek) for the first time on Sunday.

What a beautiful day!

This picture was snapped by a friend about two minutes before I flipped the dinghy off the freakin' Hurley for the second time since I've owned it. Luckily I'm getting good at the submerged-two-cycle-engine recovery drill!

Tim,

I took my Dad to Still Pond Friday night and Great Oak on Fairlee Saturday night. We had a great time at Still Pond as always...tons of wildlife (heron, egrets, deer, and even two pair of bald eagles). We had a great time.

We were there as well this past weekend. It's a great spot to relax. Great pix - thanks.

Hey Tim, we took the dingy out on Sunday to the beach area, saw Festivus but no signs of life. You were probably in the shallows with the kids.

Sorry we missed you Stan!

I couldn't have been that far away... we anchor right near the sandbar. I did take the kids for a while to what they call "jump-off-beach" which is inside of the spit near the old CG station. The drop off into the water is so rapid, that you can jump off the beach like jumping into a swimming pool. The kids love it.

You can also back the boat right up to the beach with the bow hook in the lagoon and the stern hook on the beach. I also notice that the "Keep Off" signs have been removed from that spit.

Hmmmmmm, maybe time for another bonfire!:thumbsup:
