I am getting quotes on a boat I have under agreement and I am wondering how these stand up to policies that some of you may have on similar boats. Most important for me is the knowing how the premium compares, how the deductible compares and how the coverage amounts in the given categories compare. Sorry for sideways pic, I can't figure out how to rotate it.

Other than the agreed value, all of your limits are lower than mine, for more money. My Liability and Uninsured/Underinsured Boater limits are $1,000,000 each. Personal Property limit is $25,000 and Towing limit is $10,000. So essentially double your coverage limits for an annual premium that is approximately 25% lower with similar navigation limits. As long as you're an experienced boater and this isn't a huge step up in size, you can likely do better.

I was with Chubb last year for the first year we had the 44DB. No claims and no changes and premium was going up $200 for this year. Started shopping....found slightly better coverage with NBOA and reduced premium by $400 from last year...

Go to a marine broker. I like Global Marine Insurance. There is no cost to have an agent that is authorized to sell policies for several companies that looks out for you.

The wording may be unclear, but it looks like you are insuring a boat with gas engines. Ask them to requote a diesel boat.

You have year-round coverage, but can’t go south of Morehead. Not sure what you’re doing with the boat in winter, but the moment you leave the inlet you are technically south of Morehead. Just make sure the geographic limits match your actual use.

Also, I second the idea of a broker who specializes maritime insurance. I highly recommend AMG Insurance in West Palm: 772-742-2401.

Thanks for pointing out the items to take a look at. I will clarify them with the broker as well as call AMG.

I will give them a call. Thanks fo the referral.

You are about a $1000 more than my 58 with BoatUS (Geico - used to be Seaworthy Ins before Buffet bought it). And they even went up $700 on me last year with no claims - probably due to FL Hurricane claims last year...
