Aftercoolers are back in now, and everything reassembled. All told it was about 2 hours/side to get them out, and another 2 hours/side to get them reinstalled. It's not that difficult of a task, just a bit awkward getting the heavy beast out of the least accessible side. The draining of the coolant was a PITA too, I suspect I'll be cleaning the bilge for a while to get all the traces of coolant out, but at least it's back together. I'm going to take her for a spin weekend after next and get it up to temp, then taking a longer cruise the following weekend to put some hours on her and see if the sooting issue is resolved. I'm pretty hopeful.
