Advice on barbecue!

On the swim platform, of course...

<ducks for cover>
You've got it all wrong. Close up the v-berth and install it there. Or better yet, install an Onan there that's massively oversized for the boat.

C’mon now Brad, you know perfectly well a Honda will fit in the engine compartment right beside the gas tank.

Well yes, of course. But Henry, a Honda is so....plebeian. As a owner of a fine yacht like a Sabre running an Cummins-Onan, I'd expect you to step up your game. It's so much more interesting to have a little creative destruction! Like this, erm, unusual, project.

Thanks, I had not seen that. The human imagination is truly amazing. Although it did remind me that the sailboat we had when I was a kid had a one cylinder diesel that was accessed by lifting the companion way steps out of the way.

On a broader note I am really surprised cabin fever seems to have set in so early in the winter.

We use gas and electric. Magma on the hook with rod holder mount and electric at the docks/marinas. If at a marina and have other appliances/etc powered up, we run a dedicated cord to a dock power source to avoid overload on the boat. Both have there advantages and disadvantages. Made this shelf unit that attaches over the sink for when using the electric option. We clip a towel over seat and side panel to avoid splatters. Also use it for serving snacks and setting up cockpit TV on a rare occasion. No holes, just clips on and has non skid rubber on bottom where rests up by drink holder.

We have had 2-Magmas and I have no love for either. Current on a rod holder mount and the other on a pedestal mount. No issue with them blowing out, but the flare ups are horrible. I will not own another one. My plan is to take the rod holder mount, adapt an aluminum plate to it, and mount one of the Webers.
