Where are the adjustment screws dumping too much fuel

A Weber, aka Edelbrock, has 2 screws in the front that only adjust idle mixture. You can also adjust the accelerator pump stroke. If it is running too rich, that is a metering rod and jet issue.

guessing this is not your issue, but worth making sure.
..also make sure the clear tube from the fuel pump up to the carb does not have any fuel in it. if the diaphragm in the pump is bad, gas will get dumped directly into the barrels of the carb via that tube.

If it's "dumping" fuel then the float level/needle valve need to be adjusted.
