The speakers that came with my 1997 DA are located in the aft part of the cockpit. Great for those sitting in the aft, but not great for the driver.

I decided to add a second set of speakers to the radar arch for two reasons: the location will be much better for people sitting in the front seat of the cockpit, and the air volume in the radar arch could be utilized to get some good bass reinforcement.

The depth of the arch was too shallow, so I bought some spacer rings, painted them white, and the result was pretty good. The sound is quite good, and the proximity to the driver and the front seat is much improved.

I bought the 1" spacer rings from autotoys.com

The speakers on our 260DA are installed below the arch and that is a good location for everyone in the cockpit. Your installation looks very professional...................nice job.

Thanks guys. It took a lot longer than it should have--probably because I didn't plan things well enough, but it was worth it.
