Adding a linear actuator

I have a 2007 205 Sport. I would like to install a linear actuator (hatch lift) on my boat. The hatch (engine cover) is also a large sun pad. Does anyone have any suggestions.

it maybe a little tricky with single motor if there is not enough room on front of engine - may need two lifts mounted on sides

Could probably add a piece of aluminum angle stock across the underside of the pad. That may stiffen it up enough and give a more solid mounting surface.

Try crawling in the engine compartment and pushing the hatch open from where you envision mounting the actuator. Keep the pressure localized, as it would be with the actuator.
