Adding a cockpit TV

I am installing some Raymarine MFD's and they have a HDMI out, I am going to run a HDMI cable to my rear TV which means down the starboard side and over the top so a 20 foot cable and it should be fine. Anything over 25 feet I switch to Cat 5.
I’ll make you a deal. You drive up to Stewart to help me with my project and I’ll drive down to Fort Lauderdale and help you with yours.

Lol.... I would take you up on that but only home for 2 days a week and this weekend is all about installing my MFDs. If you are not in a hurry i can come help you.

So after getting a quote of 20-25 hours for install(labor only) I finished running the wires today. 2 hours start to finish to run the HDMI cable. Not overly difficult but a lot easier with 2 people. Now to install that mount, when it arrives and run electrical to the location by the TV.

Wow, I would think 8 hours would be plenty, counting downtime and stopping and starting, travel, etc.... 20-25 hours seems criminal

20-25 hours at $100 per hour. Needles to say I do feel like I was being taken advantage of.
The reality for me is every time I take on a project like this I learn more about my boat which is always a good thing.

Good for you... that’s how you learn.

Seems to me that was a "we don't want to do this, but if you insist we will make you pay" kind of quote...

Good for you for tackling and accomplishing it!

That was actually in the range of a few quotes.

Pretty much done. Just have to make the cable area look pretty.
