Are you talking about the metal screen on the air intake? those are washable

This would interest me too: the metal screen I already washed, but are there other filters that should be replaced?

I grabbed a 3x3 foot sheet of furnace filter material for like $5 at home depot and wrapped it around the old one which basically was doing nothing and put it back in. Works great!!!!

I also use the furnace filter material. I keep the sheet in my dock box and cut it to size whenever its time to change the filters. More effective than the OEM metal screen at keeping dust off of the fins.

The problem I have run into with furnace filter material from big box and hardware stores is there is not an easy way to cut them and slide them into the thin opening holder on the compressor. Breath Easy cuts them to size and then sews a trim piece on the edges that easily fits the size of your a/c unit. This issue is a little like the fart filter. There should be an easy, cheap way to make these things without a sewing machine; and, you need to find the correct filter media that is suited to this narrow application. A site like this is ideal for ideas. Until I see a better way I'll buy the product because it works but it is really over priced.

Anyone find replacement for the metal screen on the intake....mine is in Davie Jones' Locker

Woody,

Here's the P/N of the metal screen off of my salon 12K unit...
