I got this sea ray from someone who was redoing it. It has a brand new 454 and rebuilt genertator. I am not sure it I will undertake putting engine it and some repairs. Boat was funtioning before he dry docked it for upgrades. Just feeling it out and what a great place to do it????? If it is too big a project I would sell it or part it out. I will post pictures after I fiqure out how; as all my pictures are mega bytes and I was limited to Kilo bytes.

Welcome to the forum. Hope it works out for ya. If the stringers and transom are sound it will be worth getting that engine in there and starting to use it. Is the engine complete?

This engine is sweet. It is brand new short block with new headers and machine shop head redo and has not been run yet due to vehicle accident.

Yea, most newbies don't understand that us old timers see all of the new posts regardless of forum section, so they will post in multiple threads trying to get attention.

Was anything resolved through all this. I'd be interested to find out what exactly the problem or questions are and what everyones' input is. If there are two or three boats in question and the OP is genuinely interested in making a procedural decision, I think the spin off discussion would be very interesting. On this site it will also be extremely entertaining too:thumbsup: (all dangling participles aside)

May I start with a suggestion to recap the inventory and establish a goal and then we can all have some fun relaying how each of us would go about addressing the problem and possible outcomes? (we kind of do this sort of thing at work all the time:grin
