The nay votes ran strictly down party lines. The 7 negative votes cast against Senate Amendment 2355 to H.R. 3288, which would have prohibited the use of funds to fund ACORN, were cast by 6 Democrats and 1 Independent. No Republicans voted against the Amendment. Those voting nay on this Amendment were:

Burris (D) from Illinois;
Casey (D) from Pennsylvania;
Durbin (D) from Illinois;
Gillibrand (D) from New York;
Leahy (D) from Vermont;
Sanders (I) from Vermont; and
