don't remember but can get it for you if necessary
I have checked the baskets that filter the water that comes into the unit to keep it clean. Last year we had some issues with the AC but they sort of seemed to fix themselves. Now, we have 80 degree temps and the AC won't go on. Anybody have any suggestions on what may be the cause.
Interestingly, my buddy has the same exact boat on the same river we slip on. He has never even checked his baskets and not a lick of trouble. I have done everything right and experiencing problems, I need help to cool down.

Jerry, Does they unit attempt to start then shut down or does just nothing at all happen? When i first got my boat when i turned the Ac on it started running but before cold air could come out it would shut down.. Turned out my Ac water pump was bad so once it realized it was getting no water it would shut itself off.... check your Ac water pump to see if it is functioning or not. Just follow the tube from the water inlet and sea basket it should go right into the pump which on mine is mounted on the bulkhead wall like a foot away from the inlet. A new pump was around 300 bucks if i remember right.

If you are in salt water, you may have a slime coating on the incide of the water tubes. This acts as an insulation to keep the sea water from carrying away the heat. The tubes need to be acid cleaned. BIG JOB!

Jerry,

Watch the side thru hulls where the AC cooling water comes out. When the unit tries to start there should be water coming out. You may have two cooling units on the 37 DA and if so, there should be two streams of water. In either case you need to see water coming out. The AC unit will shut down after about a minute if it does not sence water.

If you believe the pump is working there may be a vapor lock. Shut the unit down, find the inlet hose and disconnect it. Put a bucket under the inlet hose and start the unit. If the water starts coming out of the inlet hose reconnect it.

Also, look for the other issues such as pluged outlet thru hulls, etc. Living on the Black River you may have picked something up.

My Ac Had this Problem last week turned out to be high pressure switch might want to look at that.
As Far as plugged lines every year I shut the Thru hull and pump a 50 50 Mix of bleach and water Thru the system let it sit for a hour turn it back on and you should see the stuff come out. The Boat is a 1997 and in salt water and never had a problem with clogged lines
