a wonderful story from Florida

Maybe there's more to the story but if your life is in danger, you have the right to defend yourself. No one should die but, if you use a deadly weapon that's the outcome.

According to the news report
"The robbery occurred at the Magic Mall in Orlando when four suspects robbed a jewelry booth with at least one of them armed, the Orlando Police Department told Fox News"

Never said that - just think it's sad these thugs felt the need to steal, sad the only way for the victim to defend himself was with a gun and sad some rich white guy thinks it's wonderful.....I'm not some anti gun nut job, nor do I think society has failed the perpetrators......I just think it's fucked up to think it's wonderful

What do you mean 'felt the need'? Is that as in 'if they need jewelry then it isn't stealing.' Maybe they don't like working a regular job and they're just thieves.

Why is the victim using a firearm 'sad'...4 thugs are attacking him, they're allowed firearms and he's not? What would you prefer, some Steven Seagal stuff? The dude's outnumber, how about giving him a fair chance.

What's with the 'rich white guy' comment...everything that happens don't have to have race drug into it or a failed society. It's really pretty simple, the advice my Dad gave me years ago will apply to anyone, anytime, anywhere...'son you have to be careful with what you do, if you fuck around you could get hurt'.

Everyone who owns a boat is rich and white.


Would I be correct in guessing you know stereotyping is wrong or do you believe it's ok as long as it fits some agenda?
 
Unfortunately we need a lot more of this. The thugs need to realize there may be immediate consequences to their actions. Starting to hit close to home. Just this weekend there where two kidnappings and robberies around the corner from my kid’s apartment. We chose the location because it was “safe.”

I think this is a wonderful story. It's wonderful that the owner of the jewelry store got to go home to his family that day. The fact that two worthless thugs got killed just makes the area just a little safer for people going about their life.

I travel about 100 days a year for work all of the Western half of the USA. I am truly shocked at how unsafe I feel in most areas. The current form of justice for bad guys does not promote anything good for our future. So, yes if a good guy gets to go home at night to his family and the bad guy to the morgue. I am OK with that. I do not wish ill on anyone. But as was said in another post. Do stupid things, win stupid prizes. There must be some accountability at some point. Everyone does not get a trophy just because.
