Hope spring comes soon
As I would cruise next other weekends I'll post new pics videos for you and those waiting spring :smt001

I use Raymarine C80 radar and gps and raymarine ST6002 auto pilot.
Also I have Garmin Nuvi 205 car gps. I use it in my car when traveling to Greece. Sometimes use it in my boat to check the ray.

Does that ST 6002 really do what it says? adjusts the trim, etc????

It is only making rudder job. The unit is put on the engine's rudder and turns the rudder and the steering wheel is also turning simultaneously while the boat is moving off from desired compass angle. There is also "seatalk" option connects the autopilot to radar/gps display so I created waypoints and routes autopilot cruises them.

Below specification written in raymarine site.
ST6002 PLUS FEATURES
  • New industrial design that cosmetically matches ST60 Plus instruments, C-Series and E-Series
  • Simple setup and calibration with AutoLearn when used with G series corepacks
  • A versatile data repeater with 15 configurable instrument/navigation data pages
  • Intuitive Autohelm® pilot controls
  • Rudder angle indicator
  • Programmable AutoTack control
  • Compatible with all SmartPilot corepacks and drive units
  • Available in convenient preconfigured complete SmartPilot System Packs (with corepack and drive unit) for Sail and Powerboat applications

Do you use it often???

Do you use it often???

Always.
I saved all places where I anchor and where summer/winter marinas always select the waypoint name then pres to the "go to" and it goes automatically. I could follow the desired waypoint on screen about how much distance to go how much time remained rudder deviation correction steering etc..
Since my boat is single engine it could deviate where I'm going and in winter the campers resists wind again deviation. I set the rudder sensivitiy 8 over 9 so a tight course for time and fuel economy.
It is perfect at nights and fogs, you use your eyes only seeing outside to pay attention to avoid collision. Also at idle or no wake zone speeds while fishing and trolling.
