A way to store a gun on board your boat

]I'm not going to venture into the discussion of whether or not this drawer pull would hold a gun safely on a boat or not. I guess that's up to you to decide for yourself.

Any constant movement (or on/off the holder) will wear the muzzle crown and destroy any accuracy of that firearm (it may even wear/scrape off off on the rifling).
jpk33, I would agree that alteration of the muzzle crown would effect accuracy, but only if we were talking about a rifle that would be used at longer distances. Put that into the perspective of a handgun and the short ranges it is used, I doubt that even a significant amount of crown deformation would have an insignificant impact on accuracy.

I think you nailed the reason why many of us keep a firearm on board.

On a related note, most states recognize that when you (and your family) are staying on your boat/rv, that becomes your home as opposed to keeping a handgun in your car or truck. The rules that apply to keeping a handgun in your home now apply to your boat/rv because this is your abode, however temporary.

Like I said earlier, if any of you don't want to use this device, don't. Ain't nobody holding a gun to your head to make you use it.
