A real holding tank question

I am new to having water & head holding tanks on a boat

How do you dump the head ? (I can guess - but I doubt it is PC or legal) but ND is the last State that worries about this kinda stuff - I had just a porta potty (in a pop up changing room on a Fisher deck boat once) before it was used, I made the rule that if you use it, you clean it (never got used) but the head compartment was a real plus in my desire to have a bigger boat - I hate going in to let (especially the women) do their thing

& the fresh water do you use bleach once a yr & flush it good ?

On the 240Sundeck we had a port-a potty with a pumpout on it. If you don't have the pump-out then you'll just have to take the holding tank out and dispose of the waste.

Hi Fetch,
Take a look at the area between your port side windshield and bow seat. There should be a silver cap (looks like a gas cap) that says waste. At least that's where it's at on the 240 SD. Your local marina should have a pump out station that will suck everything out of there. It costs $10 at our marina to get it done. We don't flush ours out. We just put the blue liquid de-smeller stuff in there.

It's nice having a head, but honestly, there's barely any room in there for it to be useful. We strongly encourage guests to go before we get on the boat. After they see the size of the head, they happily use other facilities!

It's a must on ours with wimmen and grandaughters that it's gonna get used. I plugged off the vent and waste hoses and capped the back of the potty. A couple of squirts of water from the sink into it.. do their business, flush and a couple more squirts another flush and done. I just take it out to dump as it's all closed anyway, rinse out add a lil cleaner.. rinse again and done. Their has been significant conversation about this before if you want to do a search.
