I woke up Christmas Eve Day to heavy fog covering the great Northwest. I made a few business calls, stopped in to visit a client and then the day started to dwindle down from there...everyone else seemed to be closed. I headed home to do some computer work when my GF calls and tells me it is sunny on the river. Since she knew I was bumming about being alone for the holiday, was this a ploy to get me down to the boat? or were the sun gods shining?

As it turned out it was a gorgeous afternoon. We had a mister heater heating the cockpit so it was 65-70 degrees for our 3 hour cruise. While heading in, we were asked by the local marine assistance patrol to help with some photos and in return they shot a few of us on the water....

You make the call! Perfect Day in the Northwest!

Very nice! We were on the water Christmas Day down here. We took a short trip out on the delta just to be out on the water...no heater was needed as it was around 60 degrees! Lots of boats out fishing with the Striper bite on...

If Todd really decided to leave with the diesel boys and Turtle, I nominate you to be the official photographer for the Pacific Northwest. It will be your duty to keep us supplied with pictures of the awsome boating up there.

You got it Highslice! I would be surprised if Todd left CSR, though. I stay out of the bs of the politics. Here for the enjoyment of our fine "sport" and sharing the experiences.

Thanks though for the compliments. I love boating in the Northwest! Coming from Wisconsin, the boating here is amazing! I especially love going up into the "gorge" where the Columbia River cut through the Cascade Mountains. Phenomenal views!

All the best for 2010!

What beautiful pics! certainly keep them around for the '11 Calendar! I hope those guys did not all take off, I enjoyed their trips and knowledge.

It looks like Mt Rainier I believe.
