I'm trying to but when I go to upload your program responds with "required info missing " in red. At the info reg screen is requests model info but only offers a check mark as a choice and the other required selection has nothing to choose at all.

OK, buddy, that's it. Silence is over! If the withdrawal pains get too bad, come on down and I will take you out for a spin on the river. Well, as long as the ramp is not covered in ice!

I really feel for all you boaters who have to put your boats to "sleep" for the winter. So I will observe that moment of silence for you.

Now, if you want to move to the Carolinas, I can recommend several great winter boating sites and you can forget about the big winter sleep for your boat. :grin:

Sundancer,

From the weather forecast, it looks like you are just in time! :smt001
Cold weather the next few days.

Dave

Dave M: A boat ride mid winter sounds good, but a little chilly! Usually I just go sit in the boat and make motor sounds with my lips! This year I might even take an electric heater out there so I can spend more time in it! We'll see!

Dave S: Putting the boat to sleep is a good thing! Now it's time to wax up the skis and head to the hillls! Between the downhill, cross country, snowshowing and snowmobiling I wouldn't have time to boat anyway! How far away is the skiing in North Carolina? Do you have any snow year around down there?

There are a number of places in the Carolina Mountains where you can ski. It's about an hours drive away from me. But any serious skier will always want to head out West or up to North East. Snow in our ski areas is largely dependant on the man made stuff unless we have an especially brutal winter.

I am also still in the water and wait till the weather reports says that temps are really going down.

We are in the rare situation that the last days we are still in the high sixty’s.

Dave that was mean to all our northern friends. :smt043

The funny thing about Winter is it puts you in the mood for boating! If we boated year around, we would lose interest and probably wouldn't use it as much as we do in the Summer months. Besides, I can't snow ski, snow shoe, cross country ski AND boat! There just isn't enough time, so splitting the seasons makes sense. There are about 5 resorts between 45 minutes and 2 hrs away, but the real fun is going where there are no people! Kind of like boating in the snow! Having access to the in-laws cabin makes it fun too. As I write this the first big snowfall has hit Snoqualmie Pass over on the West side! YAHOO!!! I can't wait!

Today, I finished with the frame and tarp and got the boat all backed in. Then I winterized the travel trailer and not a moment too soon! Dipping down to around 24 tonight with a high of 37 tomorrow so the snow should start sticking in the mountains!

Burrrrr..... :smt009 I walked around in my flip flops, shorts and sea ray golf shirt cleaning out the storage room and thought it was chilly at 70. :lol:

We have solemnly clasped our hands together and murmured well-wishes.

Meanwhile, had my zinc's changed this weekend so that we can get out for next weekend. Will wait for spring to haul out since bottom paint is good.

<More solemn silence here>
