CSR is to be an enjoyable place for its members to talk about their boats. As of today, any member that decides to direct any flames at another member by calling them names or being rude or whatever will have that post deleted and some infraction points associated with that. Enough infraction points gets you banned until they expire. It is a very simple concept. There are like 9 people on here that are over-running the site with non Sea Ray bickering and it needs to stop. There are plenty of sites to act immature on. If you see somebody posting bad info you can simply give your opinion as to whats right and let the other members decide for themselves who is right. I realize its impossible to eliminate all arguing as that is the nature of the internet, so some judgement will be used by our moderation staff to do the right thing.
Why will a user be banned for enough instances of breaking the rules? Because we (the moderators) actually have full time jobs and can't babysit a few people on here all the time. Whenever somebody posts an offensive reply we (the moderators) get multiple emails sent to us as people report it, a PM or two of other people complaining about it, a PM or email from the offender pleading their case or telling us how much we suck, and then whatever further fallout ensues. This in not enjoyable for us as the moderators or you as the readers, so if a user wants to keep putting this burden on us then they'll be banned.
If any users really need a site to be keyboard cowboys and make fun of each other I'll gladly set it up. Until then, keep it off CSR.
